Approval of Leave Requests

Department Heads are required to process (approve or reject) leave applications on or before the 3rd day prior to the effectivity of the filed leave. Failure to process the request within the Company’s online system by the end of the 3rd day will deem the leave application as approved.

Example:
Effectivity of Leave: Friday, Oct 11, 2019
Approval: On or Before Tuesday, Oct 8, 2019
Auto-Approved: Wednesday, Oct 9, 2019, if the Department Head fails to process the application

Leaves

“On leave” generally refers to an employee not reporting to or absent from work. Leaves (or absences) can be classified as either Authorized or Unauthorized Leaves.

Timekeeping

Unless otherwise indicated, required or directed by the Company, employees shall report to work according to their respective Assigned Work Shift schedule that is applicable to their respective job level.

Overtime

Overtime is work rendered beyond the Work Shift (i.e. after the intended end of the shift). Employees assigned with Time-bounded Shifts and Semi-Flexible Shifts are eligible for rendering and earning premium pay from overtime.

Minimum time computed as Overtime shall be at least 30 minutes. Any request with less than 30 minutes of rendered excess time after the Work Shift shall not be considered Overtime.

Work rendered in Overtime, in principle, must be pre-approved by the Department Head / Immediate Superior. In the event of the unavailability of the Department Head to pre-approve Overtime within the Company’s online system, but with the approval given in principle, the employee is required to seek post-approval.

The employee is expected to file for Overtime within twenty-four (24) hours upon return to work in the succeeding Assigned Work Shift.

Work Shifts

Upon hiring, all employees shall be assigned a Work Shift. The Company reserves the right to assign a particular Work Shift to an employee to ensure continuous customer service and to meet operational exigency or demand.
